RIDE BIKES.
EAT BREAD.
AND GIVE BACK.

What could be better than riding your bike with friends, supporting small businesses, AND improving our local cycling programs?

OUR IMPACT.

For the month of November 2020, SF Bakery Ride leveraged The Ultimate Bakery Ride Challenge Route to encourage our cycling community to support our local bakeries and youth cycling programs.

For every rider who completed the challenge between November 1st-29th, SF Bakery Ride pledged to contribute $20 to Outride in support of its SF youth cycling programs (up to $1000). Together, the two organizations also set a goal to raise $5,000 - enough to provide 10 Riding for Focus seats!

Check out the infographic below for the fundraiser results.

WHAT IS OUTRIDE?

Outride is a public nonprofit based in Morgan Hill that’s dedicated to improving the lives of youth through cycling. Their mission is to use cycling to help children achieve academic, health and social success.

They believe that cycling can be a tool for children to achieve academic, health, and social success. And over the past few years, they've brought this concept to life by working with schools across the United States to create cycling programs. They call it Riding for Focus, and it's changing lives one pedal stroke at a time.

Outride’s primary activities focus on three areas: primary scientific research, school-based cycling programs, and the creation and support of cycling communities. Through these programs and research, they're advancing the understanding of how riding bikes can help improve the social, emotional, and physical well-being of children.
